California Energy Commission – Appliance Efficiency Regulations Title 20
Effective January 1, 2020, California has issued a stop sale on non-compliant General Service Lamps (GSL) products. The requirement for GSL products is a 45lpw efficiency rating or higher. Previous State-Regulated LED Lamps (SLED) and Small Diameter Directional Lamps (SDDL) legislation put into place in 2018 is still in effect. Therefore, any SLED or SDDL product manufactured on or after January 1, 2018 will be required to comply with the performance, testing and marking requirements listed in Sections 1601 through 1609 of California’s Appliance Efficiency Regulations (Title 20). More information can be found on the California Energy Commission’s website: http://www.energy.ca.gov/appliances/
